New In The Shop!

There are a variety of items we want you to know about this week!  We’ve been busy unpacking and restocking and uttering cries of delight with it all!

Colorful Eclectic Yarn

Liz’s yarn comes to us from her dye studio in Golden, Colorado.  She started dyeing yarn in 2011 and launched her company in 2016.  Liz uses three to five layers of color to develop wondrous colorways.  She hopes we will mix and match her yarns to create garments that accent our personality.  She believes that “a beautiful skein of yarn is great on a shelf but it’s so much more wonderful when you wear it”!

We have restocked her fingering and bulky weight yarns.  We have a particular fondness for Liz’s fingering weight mini skeins that provide a pop of color anywhere you want!  You can choose mini skeins with or without a hint of sparkle!

We encourage you to come to the shop with a bit of time for browsing.  This will enable you to experiment with all sorts of color combinations!

Ritual Dyes Walnut Limited Holiday Color Knitter’s Backpack

This backpack is clever and multifaceted.  You can put it on the ground and use it like a yarn bowl, carry it on your forearm, wear it like a sling bag, or divide the straps and have it function as a backpack!  It’s big enough to hold a sweater-sized project plus your phone, wallet, and a few other necessities. These bags are made in Portland, Oregon out of heavy canvas with strong webbing straps.

If you love this color, get it now because it won’t be repeated!

Kaliko project bags

These oh-so-pretty bags are made in Berlin. They’re hand dyed using plants collected from Berlin’s parks! As you can imagine, their available colors change with the seasons; right now we have bags dyed with Alder cones and iron and others dyed with marigolds!  Every bag is made by hand from start to finish. Ania Grzeszek, founder of Kaliko, was originally an architect and began working with textiles full time in 2017.

All of us connected in any way with My Sister Knits get to reap the benefits of Julie’s search for unique and meaningful items!  We welcome you to wander slowly through the shop, finding treasures everywhere!
