A Knitting Weekend in the Rockies, 2016!

Save-the-date-3Ahhhhhhh, do you hear it?Sounds of knitting needles clicking away, of conversation, and laughter.Ahhhhhhhh, do you feel it?Welcome, relaxation, and connection with fellow fiber enthusiasts.A personal weekend away full of pampering, knitting, kicking back, and fun is exactly what we need before the hustle and bustle of the holidays!This will be yours as you experience ‘A Knitting Weekend in the Rockies’ in Estes Park, Colorado; a retreat hosted by Julie Luckasen, owner of My Sister Knits, and Jenny Wilcock.This year’s dates are Friday, Nov. 18th through Sunday, Nov. 20th.close-up-of-Stanley-RTPWe will again be staying in The Lodge at The Stanley Hotel. The Stanley, on the list of Historic Hotels of America, stands magnificent on a hillside above the town of Estes Park, Colorado, which serves as the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. There are unbelievable views of the mountains in all directions from the Lodge! The rooms are historic, yet updated with every modern convenience. When you step into The Lodge you will feel as if you’ve been transported to a very special place indeed!Lodge-entry-RTPYour retreat fee includes:

breakfast-detail,-manor-room-RTPMealsEach morning in Manor Hall, a room full of windows with beautiful views and vintage charm, we will find mouthwatering baked goods and pastries along with fresh fruit, hot and cold cereal, scrumptious homemade granola and assorted juices and hot beverages. Food is always important and breakfast in The Lodge is incredible!manor-hall-RTP-2Lunch can be purchased on the hotel grounds at the coffee shop or restaurant, or in town at one of the many local restaurants.We have arranged for group dinners at two of Estes Park’s long time favorite restaurants.  You may eat with the group or go out on your own and you may decide at the last minute which you prefer!Friday night - Sweet Basilico, an Italian restaurant loved for it’s homemade pizza crust, tortellini and veal marsala.Saturday night - Claire’s on the Park, known for excellent service and American cuisine prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients.For our convenience, both restaurants will offer us their complete menu and individual checks.RegistrationThe cost of the retreat is $685 for a single room and $500 per person for a double room, payable to My Sister Knits.*Registration begins Aug. 18, 2016 by Paypal, credit card or check; we will publish complete details the week before.*Registration deadline is October 6, 2016.*You may arrive any time Friday, however, your room may not be ready until the official check-in time of 4pm.
