When we received our first balls of Scumptiouspurl's Stripe Me Up yarn, we knew that we had something special. That yarn disappeared from the shop as quick as a wink as customers came in eager to try this fun bright self striping yarn for themselves. We've restocked several times, and as soon as this yarn arrives, it sells out. So we wanted to let you all know as soon as we could that a new shipment of these fun skeins arrived this week! For those of you who are eager to play with this yarn, but not interested in making a brilliant pair of socks, Julie has a pattern to share with you.She and Robin made cowls with this yarn that are as easy to make as they will be fun to wear. They used two skeins of Stripe Me Up (which could be the same color if you'd prefer).
Using size US 6 needles, cast on 96 stitches, provisionally or not, and join to work in the round. Knit all stitches, using the entire first skein. Continue with the second skein and knit until just enough yarn remains to bind off or join with the Kitchner. (If you chose not to cast on provisionally, bind off all stitches loosely knit-wise and use the mattress stitch to join your cast on and bound off edges together to form a loop.)
We hope that you'll treat yourself to one of these skeins because they are a joy to play with. The bright spring colors will brighten things up for you as you work and again as you wear your new knits!
Be sure to visit as soon as you can, because we've learned that this fun yarn never lingers in the shop for long.
