Anzula projects we adore (part one)

We are thrilled that Sabrina from Anzula paid us a visit and shared a delightful selection of her stylish samples.  She filled the shop with luscious skeins in a mouthwatering array that we couldn't resist.  Every little suitcase was overflowing with wonderful colors that were paired with terrific samples that helped us imagine what we could work on next!anzula-trunk-2015-01In honor of her trunk show we wanted to use this week to share a few projects that we've recently finished (or started!) using her beautiful yarns.folded-poncho-01Just finished is Theresa's Easy Folded Poncho designed by Churchmouse Yarns & Teas.  She knit this classic pattern up with 4 skeins of Anzula Cricket on size 6 needle.  This yarn contains a sport weight superwashed blend of merino, cashmere and a touch of nylon for strength.  It drapes beautifully and feels wonderfully luxurious.  Just what you want to wrap up in to ward of the chill of the farmers' market first thing in the morning. But that's not all she's knit up.IMG_2548Instead of following the poncho pattern to create a version with the cowl neck, Theresa found another pattern that would make a more versatile wardrobe staple.  This is the Double Basketweave Cowl designed by Karen Templer from Fringe Association.  This FREE pattern is terrific.Theresa created this using 2 skeins of Anzula Cricket held double on a size 10 needle.  This technique allowed her to use the same yarn at a very different gauge.  This leaves here with two fantastic knitwear pieces that she can wear separately or combine to create a third look that we just love. What are you thinking about casting on for?  We have a great selection of Anzula yarns and all kinds of project ideas that we'd love to share with you.  We can find the perfect choice for whatever you'd like to knit next.
