Can't wait!

Occasionally we get so excited about a sample that the photoshoot occurs as soon as the project is off the needles.  We couldn't wait for Theresa to block her new shawl.  Instead we headed out into the garden straight away in order to be able to share it with you. This is the Less is More Shawl designed by Maanel.  This asymmetrical triangle shawl is knit sideways.  Theresa knit hers up with a slight pattern modification using 197 stitches (10 fewer than the pattern calls for).  She used 4 skeins Shibui Staccato and  3 skeins Cima held together throughout, on size 6 needles. We love the asymmetry of this shawl.  It is reminiscent of some of our other favorites such as the Thorn Shawl designed by Bristol Ivy (which we featured in the shop last summer knit up with madelinetosh Merino Light).A quick browse among the asymmetrical shawl patterns available on Ravelry may inspire you to cast on for one of your own.  Let us know if we can help you find a perfect pattern and yarn to work it up with!
