We have a new holiday kit to introduce this month. As we considered all of our options for beautiful gifts, the Arnhem Loop quickly made its way to the top of the pile. This bias knitted infinity cowl designed by Silke K, is a simply beautiful accessory. We love summery beachy look of the mattress ticking stripes and can’t help but notice that the “wrong” purl side is just as beautiful. We have a couple of samples in the shop knit up with different yarns.
Julie C. used 2 skeins of Anzula Dreamy for her version of the cowl. Kristin knit up her loop with 4 skeins of Isager Højlandsgarn (Highland Yarn). Both of our knitters made a fun modification to the pattern and alternated their striping partway through the project to add some more interest to the finished cowl.
Our kit includes the pattern and 4 skeins of the Isager yarn in your choice of colors and is $46. It will require quite a lot of stockinette stitching, so we thought it might be the perfect project to take along with you if you have a road trip ahead of you before the end of summer.
For those of you that haven’t already tried bias knitting or working with stripes, you may want to sign up for Julie C.’s class next Tuesday August 6th from 6-8pm. Details can be found here. She will cover the basics of these new techniques with you, and help you get a head start on your project. Give us a call at the shop to register before Friday when registration closes.
We hope that you can stop by the shop to play dress up. The samples we have are wonderfully flattering and the kits will remain on sale this month as supplies last.
