Churchmouse and Ombre

How could you go wrong when you combine the perfect patterns of Churchmouse Yarns & Teas with this season’s hottest knitting trend? ombre 02The design team of Bainbridge Island’s famous yarn shop has created a wonderful modification to their Bias ‘Before and After’ Scarf: the Ombre Infinity Scarf Project.  "With ombré shading techniques, you're a knitting artist. The colors mix, meld and unfurl before your eyes. You double strand the yarn, and then add a new color at each segment."The new pattern references the ‘Before and After’ Pattern, and is created by holding two strands of three different colors of Isager Strik Alpaca 2.  This wonderfully soft and lightweight blend of alpaca and merino is a perfect choice for an autumn scarf.  And even better, the double strand is a quick knit on US 9 needles. ombreWe have a trio of samples in the shop featuring a warm, cool, and neutral color selection.  The pattern and three skeins of yarn can be yours for less than $50.And if you already own the Bias Before and After pattern, the project just requires a copy of the pattern addendum, and three skeins of Isager.  With all of the stunning color combinations available in the Isager color palette, you may find that you want to make one for everyone on your holiday gift list.
