An exclusive yarn

We are very pleased to announce that My Sister Knits is the first LYS in the Us to carry Green Mountain Spinnery's Mewesic.This yarn features a rustic blend of soft wools from a variety of breeds including Rambouillet, Columbia, Targhee and Friesian which has been mixed with the lustrous fleeces from Corriedale, Montadale and Romneys.The result is a lofty yet durable yarn with great stitch definition.  The Spinnery makes woolen processed yarns that provide warmth without the weight of worsted processed yarns. We have a wonderful sample of Ysolda's Blank Canvas Sweater that Kate knit up earlier this fall as her Rhinebeck sweater.  This beautifully simple pullover with flattering waist shaping perfectly illustrates how stunning this yarn is. The rich tweedy color is the result of blending pre-dyed wool in the carding process.  You'll find a depth of color here that is impossible to achieve any other way.We hope that you can visit us soon to see these skeins for yourself.  We can't wait to see what you make with it!
