More fun Shibui samples

Kimberly and Theresa had a photo shoot in the garden yesterday so that you could see the newest items to arrive from Shibui.  Our ongoing Shibui Trunk Show is now featuring samples of brand new patterns that were just released last week. mix 32_33 02Kimberly looks darling while modeling Mix No. 32 and Mix No. 33 both designed by Shellie Anderson. "This wrap is knit with two strands of Shibui Pebble held together throughout.  It is worked from each end in two pieces and joined at the center using the Kitchener stitch.Playful scallops, worked in a simple slipped stitch technique, loop across this generous and decadent wrap. Executed beautifully in delicate Pebble, the tweedy cashmere blend adds depth to the alternating, colorful stripes."Mix No. 32 is a welted cap whose design features a textured brim that compliments the simple stockinette body beautifully.  You could knit the hat up in a single color or as a tri-color version as pictured here. mix 32_33 01Here we have a close up of Mix No. 34 designed by Susan Lawrence.  This beautifully structured cowl was created with 3 skeins of Shibui Silk Cloud and 2 skeins of Shibui Staccato (held together throughout). mix 34 1"A study in opposites, the undulating edges of this cowl provide contrast for the dimensional, textured surface that is formed by angular stitch patterns and linear decreases. The luminous combination of Staccato and Silk Cloud creates soft structure for this truly luxurious accessory."There are two more samples from the collection that we can share with you later this week.  Or better yet,  you can come and visit all of these new samples with a quick visit to the shop.  You'll love the fresh new designs from Shibui as much as we do!
