Ysolda has designed a new subscription based pattern collection that could provide you with all of the great gift ideas you need for this holiday season! Her Knitworthy Collection features 8 patterns intended to make thoughtful gifts for everyone on your knitworthy list (because life's too short to knit for anyone who doesn't love what you make). The first pattern, Bronntanas, is available to download immediately; and each of the remaining patterns will arrive as a surprise in your inbox every other Monday. (These patterns will be exclusively available to those who subscribe until the last pattern release in early December; at which point the patterns will be available to download individually). In between the weeks when your next pattern arrives, Ysolda will provide other fun extras. Her Whimsical Little Knits collections should give you a good idea of the types of projects to expect. Some of our favorite accessories and little creatures have come from these collection (her darling Elijah comes to mind as a perfect example). All of the designs were carefully selected by Ysolda to be fun and relaxing with an excellent return of impact for effort put in.We at the shop couldn't resist joining the fun, and each of us will be casting on for one of the upcoming projects. Dawn cast on for Bronntanas earlier this week. This comfy looking slouch hat combines a garter stitch background with just enough cabling and slipped stitch detailing to provide a beautiful texture that looks more complex than it is to complete. We enjoy working on patterns that look devilish, and yet knit up smoothly without too much concentration.Dawn chose to cast on with a skein of Hikoo's Kenzie for her project. This worsted weight yarn will make a deliciously soft hat. Whomever Dawn gives it to, will certainly treasure the softness imparted by the angora and alpaca included in the yarn's composition. This hat will knit up quickly and we look forward to showing you more photos as her project progresses. We hope that if you decide to join the fun and subscribe to this pattern collection you will also join Ysolda's KAL Raverly group where you can share photos and progress reports with other knitters around the world that have cast on. We'd love to see your progress, so be sure to share your photos with us and stop by the shop when you can to show us what is on your needles!
