Schools are closed today and the snow is still coming down. We hope that you are safe and snug with a fun knitting project (or two) close at hand. It is a pleasure to be warm and happily occupied inside while a storm blows beyond the windows.Next week, when we've dug ourselves out of this fresh powder, we'll be starting a new FREE tutorial program at the shop that we think you are going to love. Every week on Thursday mornings 11am-1pm and Saturday mornings 9-11am our friend and wonderful teacher Jenny will be in the shop providing demonstrations and support for novice and intermediate knitters. She will demonstrate a technique or skill in the first hour and use the second hour to give one on one help to anyone who drops in. She can help fix your mistakes, get you back on track, or even talk you through the next steps in your pattern. It's going to be fantastic! Knitters of all levels of comfort and expertise will find these FREE sessions helpful and fun.Below are the dates and topics that Jenny will be offering in the next several months:February 11th, 13th, 18th & 20th- Novice: Long Tail Cast OnFebruary 25th, 27th, March 3rd & 5th - Intermediate: Frogging and TinkingMarch 10th, 12th, 17th & 19th - Novice: Reading a PatternMarch 24th, 26th, 31st & April 2nd - Intermediate: Reading a ChartApril 7th, 9th, 14th & 16th - Novice: Identifying Knits, Purls, Twisted StitchesApril 21st, 23rd, 28th, & 30th - Intermediate: CablesMay 5th, 7th, 12th & 14th - Novice: Finding YouTube DemonstrationsMay 19th, 21st, 26th & 28th - Intermediate: 3 Needle Bind Off & Kitchener StitchBe sure to mark your calendars and give us a call at the shop if you have any questions! 970-407-1461.
