Hope lives... in Fort Collins

If you are a subscriber to our newsletter, you probably already know that we are a collection point for Hope Lives.hope-livesThe Hope Lives Breast Cancer Support Center was founded in 2001 by Lydia Dody, a Ft. Collins businesswoman who battled breast cancer. After her recovery, Lydia wanted to ensure that the approximately 200 women in Larimer and Windsor counties diagnosed each year receive complete post-diagnosis support and care. Their mission is to Support and Strengthen those touched by Breast Cancer by providing Care, Guidance & Education. Our mission at the shop is to support this group and the women that they are caring for by collecting knitted and crocheted items for local breast cancer patients to enjoy while undergoing chemo.  We have a bin in the shop and will gladly receive:  scarves, shawls, lap blankets/afghans, slippers, and hats.Your hand-knit items will warm and comfort women in the Fort Collins area who are in need of our compassion. We hope that you can drop off a hand crafted item in the next few weeks.  Please call us at the shop at 970-407-1461 if you have any questions about how you can get involved.
