A KAL for you to consider

We are very excited about the Spinnery Mewesic yarn that we have at the shop.This beautifully tweedy 100% wool DK weight yarn has gathered a lot of attention recently because it is featured in Amy Christoffer's new shawl pattern Gold Rush. We wanted to be sure to let you know that there is a KAL for this pattern that begins Monday November 24th.  This will give you a beautiful project to work on just in time for one of the busiest travel weeks of the year!You can find out more details on the Raverly discusson board here.   You'll connect new friends across the country who who love knitting as much as you do and you may find some inspiring project photos as knitters get started later this month.You should also know that here is a contest associated with this KAL, whomever posts the most about their project on the Thanksgiving 2014 KAL discussion board will win a $25 Spinnery gift certificate. We have a wonderful selection of Mewesic in the shop for you to choose from.  You only need four skeins to complete Amy's shawl.You may also want to consider using Green Mountain Spinnery Alpaca Elegance. (Kate has chosen 4 skeins of the Earl Grey color for her shawl - second from the left on the top row). This 50/50 blend of Targee wool and alpaca has a beautiful drape to it that could be a perfect match for the Gold Rush Shawl. We have a sample in the shop of Kate's first published pattern the Equinox Poncho knit up by our dear friend Helen from Boulder and modeled by Theresa above.  You can easily see how beautifully this yarn knits up into a fabric that you want to wrap yourself up in.We hope that you pop into the shop soon to see these two beautiful new yarns we have in stock.  If you decide to join the Gold Rush Shawl KAL, you may want to visit before the 24th when the fin begins!
