Looking ahead

While reflecting back on this past year's knits it got us thinking about what we loved knitting and what we'd like to work on next.  Each of us in the shop have a few projects that we hope will be completed by this time next year.Dawn is eager to work on Fancy Tiger's Heirloom Chevron Throw.  She would love to work on the Floating Cables Wrap designed by Leslie Weber.Last but not least she is planning to tackle some thick cabled socks.  A couple of options that are under consideration are the Classic Elite Twin Peaks knee socks or the Tyrolean Stockings designed by Ann Budd. color affectionKimberly can't wait to get started on the Color Affection shawl Knit Along that will start next week.  She also hopes to cast on for the Larch Cardigan by Amy Christoffers before the end of the year.Theresa is also planning to cast on for her first sweater this year (pattern tbd) and her other future project is already off her needles! cashmere perleThis is the Cashmere Perle cowl designed by the Plucky Knitter.  She loves this pattern!  And can't wait to find another yarn to knit it with.  She used two skeins of Shibui Baby Alpaca held double using 7, 8, 9, 10, 10.5 and 11 needles.Kate loved knitting up her Starshower so much that she hopes to cast on for both the Appia and Adama cowls designed by Hilary Smith Callis. She also has plans to work on several large pop-over type sweaters that can be layered over more fitted ones for extra warmth.  Julie Hoover's Beaubourg, Churchmouse Yarn & Tea's Better Than Basic Pullover, and Alison Brookbanks' [BIG]rubble among the top contenders. What do you hope to cast on for this year?
