Many hands make light work

We wanted to pass along some heart warming news today.  Earlier this year the folks who organize Larimer County Project Linus celebrated a stunning  20,000 blanket celebration. They currently deliver up to 200 blankets each month!  So it won't be long before they reach another milestone like that one.project linusNationwide, Projct Linus has delivered close to 6 million blankets since 1995.  We are proud to be a collection spot for Project Linus and love to see the hand knits that are lovingly created to be donated to children in need.If you'd like to do a bit of charity knitting before the holidays, we can help get you started.  We've got some great project ideas that could use up some of your stash yarn.  And there are additional ways that you can get involved. You might want to consider attending one of the Larimer County group's meetings.  They gather on the the 2nd Saturday morning (9-11) and the 2nd Tuesday evening (6-8) each month at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 2000 S. Lemay in Fort Collins.

Another way that you could support the cause is by attending the group's Christmas Craft Fair.  This year the Fair will be Saturday, December 5, from 9-3 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, 2000 S. Lemay in Fort Collins.

The gift of a handknit is a bit like giving the warmth and comfort of a hug.  What better way to share the holiday spirit with the little members of the Fort Collins community that need our support?
