Yesterday a half dozen boxes from Madelinetosh arrived on our doorstep and we are as eager as kids at Christmas. These skeins brighten our shelves and bring smiles to our faces with their scrumptious softness and delightful colors. We unpacked old favorites and have some exciting new colors that we can't wait to start working with. Our mouthwatering selection of Madelinetosh Merino Light is a bit like a box of crayons. Merino Light is a 100% superwash merino wool, single-ply fingering weight yarn. with a generous 420 yards per skein. We have used it for all kinds of projects from darling baby items that can safely go into the washing machine to summer weight sweaters and wraps. The single ply construction of this yarn makes it feel just like butter in your hands and who can resist these colors?New colors of Dandelion look right at home in the garden. This is a fingering weight single ply superwashed blend of 90% wool and 10% linen. The addition of that touch of linen adds an interesting texture to this yarn and creates a more fluid fabric that is wonderfully suited to some of our favorite summer sweater patterns like Boxy or a new favorite, Relax. We also have new skeins of Madelinetosh Merino DK. If you aren't itching to get started on a lighter weight project we have other Tosh yarns in a variety of gauges. So this week is a perfect time to visit the shop to see how these new skeins will inspire you.We look forward to seeing you soon.
