We received a new shipment from our friends at Handmaiden Fine Yarn this week.  It was chock full of gorgeous skeins of their Sea Silkseasilk 2We started working with this amazing yarn last summer, and we were hooked.  Luxurious, hand-dyed in Canada, each hank is one of a kind! Perfect for lacy projects with sheen and a beautiful drape thanks to the 70% silk and 30% Seacell (a cellulose based fiber made from seaweed) blend.  Each 100 g skein has 437 yards /400 meters and is $42.This yarn is very popular and almost 8,000 projects have been created and posted on Ravelry.  A quick scroll through the pattern suggestions clearly shows how beautifully this yarn works for shawls, scarves, and lacework of all kinds.  And a closer look at one of the more variegated colorways can show you how the stunning jewel tones shine. seasilk 01 Working with this yarn is almost like painting, it will make an artist of you and will easily result in a masterpiece.  What would you like to create with it?
