Our Spring Cleaning Sale got off to a terrific start this Tuesday. We have been enjoying seeing old friends and finding the perfect skeins for everyone who has come through our door (or called on the phone). We want to continue to provide you with some project ideas that might help you plan on how to make use of our fun sale selections.  Today, we’ll be covering the yarns that we are offering at 50% off this week.(These are going fast with very limited quantities of the Rowan Purelife and and Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino remaining.)

There has never been a better time to pick up one of our few remaining bumps of Loopy Mango's giant wool and alpaca yarn.  This yarn is HUGE, and a lot of fun to work with.  It has been featured in the NY Times in part because of its undeniable style, and in part because many projects created with it can be finished in less than 30 minutes.  Talk about instant gratification.

The design mavens at Espace Tricot made this Nantucket Throw with two skeins of Big Loop Merino.  The finished throw measures a generous 36 x 70 and looks like a million dollars.

Rowan's Tweed Aran is a wonderfully rustic single-ply wool yarn.  I have created several sweaters with it including Nora Gaughan's Swirled Pentagon Pullover.  The stitch definition is terrific, and the tweedy nature of the yarn adds additional texture that I love.

I think it's the perfect selection for  a snuggly version of Alison Broadbank's [BIG]rubble, seen above.

On the finer side, Malabrigo Finito is a fingering weight yarn that is perfect for summer knits.  The most popular pattern suggestions on Ravelry are stunning shawls that beautifully highlight the lovely colors that we so love Malabrigo for.

If you haven't yet cast on for Veera Välimäki's Color Affection, you may want to with these gorgeous skeins.

The Rowan Purelife and Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino is flying out of the shop.  These yarns couldn't be more different from one another but each is a perfect example of great yarn.  Purelife is wonderfully rustic.  It is an undyed wool created from a single breed of sheep that features the unique characteristics of the fiber.  The Baby Cashmerino is a wonderful go-to yarn for children's knits.  It is a soft washable blend with just enough cashmere to make anything knit with it feel like a luxurious heirloom.

Stop on by as soon as you can, or give us a call at the shop at 970-407-1461.  These deeply discounted skeins are very popular and disappearing quickly.  We'd love to ensure that you get the best selection of what remains!
