Sparrow is blooming at My Sister Knits (part one)

The Quince and Co. Sparrow 2015 collection has arrived in the shop and these patterns are as pretty as a garden in full bloom.  These delicate designs created by style maven Pam Allen have all been named after flowers and the lustrous palette of Sparrow makes it easy to see why.sparrowThis sport weight 100% organic linen yarn is a pleasure to work with.  It's finished texture improves with machine washing making it ideal for warmer weather knits.sparrow-01These two delicate items are whisper light tanks for summer layering.  Fir Cone (on the left) can be worn over a simple tank and Azalea (on the right) can be worn alone to beat the heat on sweltering days.  Both patterns feature flattering A-line shaping created by gradually increasing the needle size worked with.Fir Cone was created with 5 skeins of the birch color and Azalea was knit up with 4 skeins in the sans colorway. These items are totally transformed on the body, so it is worth a quick visit to the shop to try them on and see them at their best. We'll share photos of the other items in this collection later this week.  This trunk show is in the shop until the end of the month so we hope that you'll be able to visit us before it moves on.
