Sparrow is blooming at My Sister Knits (part two)

We have the remainder of the delightful Sparrow 2015 Collection to share with you this morning.  All of the samples sent to us from Quince and Co. feature their sport weight linen yarn and are just perfect summer knits.ForsythiaThis stylishly simple tank is Forsythia.  Another of Pam Allen's designs, it has a flattering A-line shape and darling pockets.  A few rows of garter stitch keeps the hem from rolling and adds just a bit of structure to the arms and neckline to lend the piece a finished look.This sample was created with 3 skeins of butternut and 2 skeins of birch.dahliaWe also have a beautifully simple example of Dahlia that positively glows with color.  This garter stitch scarf knits up quickly on US 7 needles and at 80 inches long is a fun accessory to wrap up in.  It was created with 4 skeins in the Venice colorway.petuniaLast but not least is Petunia.This light weight garter stitch cardigan is knitted from the top down, with raglan yoke shaping and front shaping throughout. The body is increased at sides. It's sleeves are worked flat and then then seamed. As a finishing touch, the cuffs and hem are finished in a contrasting color and stitches are picked up around fronts and neck to complete the contrasting trim.It's perfect for summer layering.  This sample is the 30 1/2" bust size and was created with 6 skeins nanny berry and 1 skein little fern.We're so happy that this trunk show arrived to conclude a beautiful summer of light weight knits.  Before turning your thoughts to warmer projects, please visit us to enjoy these fresh samples that may move to the top of your queue for next Spring!
