A sweater worth repeating

Occasionally we come across a pattern that is a pleasure to work and finishes as we hoped (or even better).  When that happens it can be very tempting to knit more than one.  Kate just recently finished working on a sweater that has her interested in making a second. She knit this sweater with two strands of Madelinetosh's fingering weight Merino Light held double throughout.  The reindeer color struck her as a perfect match for the pattern's simple design with garter stitch details. lila_02_medium2Carrie Bostick Hoge's Lila pullover sweater is a bottom up pattern that was first published last January.  As Kate completed the finishing touches on this sweater, Carrie made two new versions of this sweater available.Lila Top Down and Lila Winter are two of the 15 patterns included in the new Madder Anthology 2: Simple Pleasures.  The first version has a top down seamless pattern that calls for Aran weight yarn.  The second is also top down and calls for chunky yarn to be worked with a US11 instead of a US7.  It will work up very quickly and be a pleasure to snuggle into on cold winter mornings. The collection is currently available only as a pre-order ebook for $24 in Madder’s shop.  If you pre-order the book you’ll get a signed copy, the ebook right away, and a 30% off coupon for Carrie's Simple Pleasures Spring/Summer ebook that is due out in March! We hope that if any of Carrie's patterns inspire you to get started you pop into the shop and let us help you find the perfect skeins to cast on with.  We look forward to seeing you!
