Two shawls to consider

Our dear friend Dany just finished a stunning shawl: On the Forest Floor designed by Simone Kereit.Forest Floor1The pattern calls for  DK weight yarn selection and Dany chose to work with Cascade 220.  She used a total of 5 skeins in three colors.  What a work of art! There is another shawl sample in the shop worth mentioning this week: the Kline Shawl designed by Jennifer Dassau. This pattern is featured among the pages of the current Spring/Summer issue of Knit.Wear magazine. We love the modern look of this asymmetrical shawl.Kline 02Seen here, it is knit up in a single skein each of Madelinetosh's Tosh Merino Light and Hedgehog Fibres' Skinny Singles. These two yarns work well together as they are both comprised of a down soft single ply merino. The bright spring green pairs beautifully with the fun speckles making for a shawl perfectly suited to the season. The finished blocked size is a generous 80” wide and 20½” deep, giving you plenty of room to wrap up in when temperatures drop unexpectedly.hedgehog-skinnyWe have a wealth of other color options for you to consider. We'd love to help you select just the right combination for a stunning shawl of your own.Stop on by the shop this week and we can help you get started!
