All of this snowy weather has given us plenty of time to finish new projects. We wanted to share some of the fun with you in case you'd like a little break from your stitching to see what to cast on for next.Dawn finished a stunning shawl designed by Melanie Berg: Rikochan. This is one of the stunning patterns included in the recently published collection 5 Shawls that had us all eager to get knitting with soft neutrals and undyed fibers. Dawn selected her favorite two colors to work with and finished her shawl with 3 skeins Zealana Rimu in oatmeal and 2 in blue on a size US6 needle. The finished blocked size is 21" deep by 70" across, giving her yards of deliciously soft merino and possum to snuggle into when temperatures start to plummet. Theresa finished a cute hat Frais designed by Alicia Plummer and modeled above by Julie. She chose a skein of Sunshine Merino Sport to work with so her hat is washable as well as gorgeous. That stitch definition can't be beat.Julie C. was busy with a wee cardigan that we all wish we could squeeze into. This 6-12 month size of Nadia Crétin-Léchenne's Eole sweater looks fantastic knit up with Canon Hand Dyes' Charles Sock Yarn. This yarn, inspired by the PBS Series Downton Abbey, was a fun choice for a project that could be knit in front of the TV.It always feels great when we are able to move a project from our needles to the blocking board. Are you close to finishing anything this week?
