What's on our needles?

You’ve been hearing us talk a bit about the rewards of completing our holiday gift knitting.  Now that the last minute gifts have been joyfully given and received, we get to play with some of those projects that have been waiting patiently in our Ravelry queues without specific recipients or deadlines.  Danielle and I exchanged notes this week about what’s next for our needles.

Danielle has Brooklyn Tweed’s Guernsey Wrap with Swans Island Worsted on the needles for herself.  She also started working on Molly’s Blanket.  Her new passion for crochet inspired her to pick Julie’s brain about how to recreate the beautiful throw rug we have in the shop made with Malabrigo Rasta that Molly loves to rearrange into a nest under the table. She hopes to be able to offer that project as an introductory crochet class later this spring.

I am working on hats.  This cold spell has me eager to keep my ears warm and I love the gratification of finishing smaller projects.  So I am working on Katrina Nopp’s Wurm made with a skein of the Madelinetosh Pashmina that arrived last month.  I also hope to cast on Gudrun Johnston’s Norby from the Wool People Vol. 2 later this week with some Isager Hojlandsgarn.

Keep us posted on what you're working on.  Our community Knit night this Tuesday night is a perfect time to stop in for inspiration, advice, or a new pattern to get you going.
