Kate has been knitting sweaters since she first picked up needles (about 20 years ago).  She often makes pattern modifications to mixed results, and loves to share her successes to help other knitters avoid her mistakes.  She works as a shop clerk, blogger, pattern designer, and test knitter at Green Mountain Spinnery; where her exposure to the woolen spun yarn manufacturing process has deepened her knowledge and appreciation for all kinds of yarn, from rustic heritage breed treasures to shimmering hand painted skeins.

Pattern Hacking - Bring in a sweater pattern that you'd like to modify and/or a sweater in your wardrobe that you'd love to recreate.  Kate will bring along  a handful of her more successful recent pattern modifications to help get ideas flowing, and we can use shop samples to discuss how patterns can be modified for a preferred personalized fit.

Please sign up by June 7th.
