Beautiful bias knits - finished!

Earlier this month we shared some photos and details about the throw blankets that Dawn and Theresa were working on.  They each cast on for Purl Bee's Colorblock Bias Blanket and this week the finished blankets are in the shop for you to come see! biasDawn's blanket on the left is created with a combination that includes the following: the first two golds are Madelinetosh Merino DK, the grey is Anzula’s Squishy held double, and the ivory is Anzula’s Cricket.  Theresa's on the right is made with Tosh Merino Light held double, followed by Tosh Merino DK, then Anzula’s Cricket, then Tosh Merino DK, another Cricket, and finally ending with two skeins of Tosh Merino DK.The tassels may be my favorite part.We wanted to share some other great color combinations that you could use.  First, we have a spectrum of Berocco Vintage.  This is a great worsted weight superwash option for those of you interested in a blanket that can be easily cared for.  (You may want to remove the tassels before machine washing to prevent ending up with pom poms). photo 2 (2)And for those of you who would like a lighter blanket, you may want to consider using Blue Sky's Worsted Cotton yarn as shown below. photo 1 (2)The girls in the shop have all kinds of yarn suggestions that could work for this beautiful pattern that can meet any criteria, be it budget, ease of care, or just the perfect color choice.  Let us know how we can help you get cast on for a blanket of your own!
