We are trying something new this March with our Community Knit along project. For starters we are going to be hosting two events. Both of them are going to be focused on beginner crochet projects. And we are going to be accepting donations for the Fort Collins Kiwanis Club as part of both events.
On March 12th and 19th, Danielle will lead us through the basics of a beautiful blanket based on Erika Knight's design that appeared in the UK magazine, Mollie Makes.
Then, on the 26th, Danielle and Julie will demonstrate how to create rugs that they have been crocheting from either Malabrigo Rasta or strips of fabric. (These are based on our shop dog's favorite rug). If you have wanted to learn crochet, either or both of these projects are perfect for you!
All three events will be on Tuesday nights from 6-8pm. If you have questions, feel free to give the shop a call. We hope that you will come join us at the shop on these Community Knit Nights and be a part of the fun.
In support of our local Kiwanis Club and their efforts to serve the needs of Fort Collins' youngsters, we will be accepting donations of new unopened packages of children's underwear (ages 5 -12). We will be acting as a drop off site for these items that will be distributed by the Kiwanis Club to under-privileged school children in the Fort Collins area who are currently attending school with just the necessary outer clothes. Underpants and socks are all needed; please bring what you can and support the kids in our area that need our help.
