Theresa's seed stitch wrap

As the temperatures dipped this past week and the first snow started to fall, I found myself looking for something warm to snuggle into.Last Spring, Theresa cast on for Purl Bee’s Amazing Seed Stitch Wrap.  She chose seven skeins of Anzula’s For Better or Worsted and four skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca’s Suri Merino.  We spent a wonderful afternoon finding the perfect spectrum of colors for her to play with. amazing seed 02And the finished wrap is the most delicious, decedent, squeezable, and soft thing that I have ever had the pleasure of trying on.  As the heat in the shop warmed up first thing last Friday, I threw it over my shoulders and imagined curling up with a knitting project and not ever giving it back. This wrap is large enough to function as a throw.  It is easy to imagine it thrown casually over the back of your favorite arm chair as an open invitation to curl up and relax.  It makes the promise of a long snowy winter something to look forward to.The pattern is very simple: yards and yards of seed stitch.  It may take some time to complete, so you might want to get started soon.  It will begin to keep you snug and warm as you work on it, growing across your lap and then eventually around your shoulders. Our color selection in these two yarns is terrific; and we would love to help you find the perfect colors that you would enjoy working with and then wearing.  Stop on by, we'd love to see you.
